It\u2019s a good idea to eat as soon as possible so they don\u2019t spoil.<\/li>\n<li>Plastic bags with tiny vents (openings) help keep fruit fresh longer by releasing moisture. You can freeze them whole, in small pieces or pack them in a jar with syrup.<\/p>\n<p>This method works well for freezing berries:<\/p>\n<p>1) Gently wash the berries with water and drain.<\/p>\n<p>2) Spread berries in a single layer on a cookie sheet.\u00a0Place in freezer. This helps to keep the berries from sticking together.<\/p>\n<p>3) When the berries are hard, place berries into labelled freezer bags or containers.<\/p>\n<h2>How long can I store canned fruit?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Canned fruit can be kept for 1-2 years.
